Guest Testimonials

“Just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you so much for the stay at your Resort. My chalet was wonderful, and I also took advantage of a midnight hot tub and cocktail hour. The chap at reception and your shuttle driver were very pleasant… housekeeping was excellent and also enjoyed dinner at Strawberry Hill’s Dining Room. I have been telling everyone about my wonderful experience at your Resort and Marble Mountain.”

Hiking

Western Newfoundland offers limitless hiking adventures particularly in Gros Morne National Park. The unique geological formation in the bays, inlets and coves of the Bay of Islands and North Arm Mountains captivate visitors from all over the world. Any of these trails will surround visitors with the peaceful beauty of the west coast.

Additionally the International Appellation Trail (www.iatnl.ca) running from as far south as Florida up the Eastern Seaboard of the United States has recently been extended into Newfoundland and passes directly behind the Resort. The Humber Valley Section brings the walker to lookouts over the peaceful, fertile valley surrounding Deer Lake and with the trail winding through boreal forest, moose, beaver, fox, coyote, lynx and numerous songbirds are to be seen. Each fall, during the early part of October, a palette of vibrant colors envelops the Valley.
